I’ve moved!!! I’m now blogging on my website at http://upstairshobbyroom.com

Moved to Blogger

If you found me here, one more hop and your will be on my new blog!! See ya there!

So I have no idea how blogs work and what I should be doing, lol!! I’m more of an Instagram kind of girl!! It is simple and straight forward!! So if you want to check out all the projects I am working on find me there, lattegirl40!!

I am a wife and mother of 3. I live on a farm. I love to bake, and make homemade ice cream (though not as often as I would like, to spare my waistline) I would love to own a Mini Cooper, but chose to purchase a long arm quilter, not sure that dream is going to come true! But the joy I feel when creating a quilt lessens the pain!! 🙂

I don’t know how often I will post anything, being as I’ve only been quilting for one year. I may use this as a journal for myself for how much I have learned and how far my skills can grow.
I have jumped into this “quilt journey” with both feet and straight into the deep end. Meaning I not only decided to be a piecer, but a quilter too. I have no idea what I am doing but I love the idea of picking the fabric and the pattern and and than being able to quilt it too. Maybe I just have control issues, lol!! Whatever the reason I purchased a Pfaff P3 Longarm Quilter with computer (and there went my Mini Cooper) along with a Grace Frame.
I like the idea of being able to complete my quilts whenever I get them done, and not having to wait a month of 2 just to get on the list of a local quilter.
So far I have quilted 7 simple quilts that were taken on a missions trip our church took to an orphanage in the Phillipines, and a pieced and quilted another for a friend.
I have move tops waiting to be completed and I hope to stop being afraid to try free motion!! I think I need some pixie dust for bravery, but the thought of messing up a top that I have spent weeks maybe months piecing slows down my bravery gene!! lol
If there is anyone out there who has been in my shoes and has some words of wisdom for me please share!!
